Accessibility Statement

FinecoBank is committed to making its sites and applications accessible, in accordance with Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004.

This accessibility statement applies to “App Fineco IOS

Compliance status

This application is partially compliant with the requirements of Annex A of UNI EN 301549:2018 (WCAG 2.1) due to the cases of non-compliance and/or exceptions listed below.

Content non accessible

The contents listed below are not accessible for the following reasons:

Non-compliance with Italian Law 4/2004

We considered WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and the user experience of a test panel consisting of people with different disabilities, who tested this application, using assistive technologies and facilitated access features available on IOS devices, such as the screen reader VoiceOver and magnification tools.

Test results show that functions and pages of this application are partially accessible. In fact, some users may experience difficulties in the interaction with some functions or contents. Violations of accessibility standards are listed below.

3.2.4 Consistent identification: navigation by screen reader can be difficult, as some elements are not identified correctly by the screen reader. For example, on the Login page there are two input fields, "User number" and "Password," but only the former is interpreted as such. Also, in the PORTFOLIO section, VoiceOver users may not understand that the elements "Summary," "Margining," and "Forex," etc. are clickable buttons, as they are detected as plain text. The same critical issue is found in the MARKETS section, where the tab buttons are detected as plain text. Also in the MARKETS section, the news preview is not detected as an expandable item. In the PORTFOLIO and MARKETS sections, VoiceOver users are not able to know which tab they are in, as no indication is given as to which tab is active.

2.4.3 Focus order: Tables showing the performance of stock markets and stocks are present. The reading order of those elements, via the screen reader VoiceOver, does not follow the logical-visual order in which the elements are presented. Consequently, access to these contents may be difficult for blind and low vision users. This issue is found, for example, in the MARKETS section in the "Quotations" and "Best and Worst" tables.

3.3.2 Labels or instructions: some interface elements have generic labels that do not allow the user to understand the purpose of the link. For example, in the ACCOUNT section there is a "Continue" button, which allows users to perform a currency exchange operation; the label associated with the button is therefore inconsistent. In addition, there are two buttons labeled "Expand," which does not add much information about its specific function for screen reader users.

1.1.1 Non-text content: The alternative text that makes visual elements accessible to assistive technologies, in some cases, is either not present or is in English, for example, in the MOVEMENT section, the search icon does not contain a correct alternative text.

1.4.3 Contrast (minimum): With some exceptions, the application meets the minimum color/brightness contrast required by the accessibility standards. The combination of dark gray text on a light gray background is present and it is not an accessible one.
