Accessibility Statement

FinecoBank is committed to making its sites and applications accessible, in accordance with Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004.

This accessibility statement applies to “App Fineco Android

Compliance status

This application is partially compliant with the requirements of Annex A of UNI EN 301549:2018 (WCAG 2.1) due to the cases of non-compliance and/or exceptions listed below.

Not accessible contents

The contents listed below are not accessible for the following reasons:

Non-compliance with Italian Law 4/2004

We considered WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and the user experience of a test panel consisting of people with different disabilities, who tested this application, using assistive technologies and facilitated access functions available on Android devices, such as the screen reader TalkBack and magnification tools.

Test results show that most functions and pages of this application are accessible. Nevertheless, some users may find it difficult to enjoy some contents. Violations of accessibility standards are listed below.

2.2.2 Pause, stop, hide: on the login page there is an animation that cannot be paused by users. Also, in the "Open New Account" section there is a carousel whose elements are not accessible with the TalkBack screen reader, as the user does not have enough time for reading.

3.2.4 Consistent identification: some interface components are not identified correctly by the screen reader. For example, within each tab stocks are detected as clickable elements even though they are non-clickable headings. Other components that behave like a button, do not have the appropriate attribute, and are therefore interpreted as plain text by the screen reader. As a result, TalkBack users may find themselves confused at times.

3.3.2 Labels or instructions: some interface components also lack labels. For example, the buttons in the "currency exchange" function are unlabelled. Therefore, this function may be inaccessible for users using assistive technologies. When logging in for the first time, a popup opens up: the Fineco logo shown in the window and the close button are not properly labelled.

In addition, blind users trying to log in, when entering their password would receive no audible feedback from TalkBack, making it impossible to log in.

2.4.3 Focus order: on some pages/functions, the screen reader focus may not follow the logical navigation order. This happens, for example, in the "Protect your Order" function when you want to buy a stock.

1.4.3 Contrast (minimum): with few exceptions (i.e., log in page), this application meets the minimum contrast ratio required by the accessibility standards.

1.1.1 Non-text content: in some cases, the alternative text that makes visual elements accessible to assistive technologies has not been inserted correctly. For example, in the "Order Stock" panel there is a calculator symbol used to calculate the number of shares that can be purchased, and this element lacks an accessible name.

3.1.1 Language of page: on the "Fineco Pay" page, TalkBack does not recognize the language of the text, thus its contents may be inaccessible for blind users.
