Accessibility Statement

FinecoBank is committed to making its sites and applications accessible, in accordance with Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004.

This accessibility statement applies to “App Fineco Android

Compliance status

This application is partially compliant with the requirements of Annex A of UNI EN 301549:2018 (WCAG 2.1) due to the cases of non-compliance and/or exceptions listed below.

Content non accessible

The contents listed below are not accessible due to non-compliance with Law 4/2004.

In drafting this Accessibility Statement, we considered the WCAG 2.1 standard and collaborated with people with different disabilities who tested the app. They made use of assistive technologies and dedicated functions on Android devices, such as screen reader TalkBack, a tool used for the enjoyment of voice reading for people who are blind, visually impaired and with DSA (dyslexia).

Test results show that much of the functions and pages of this application are accessible. Nevertheless, some users may experience difficulties in the enjoyment of some content.

In particular, navigation of the Home and other panels, via screen reader, may be difficult, as some elements are not identified correctly. For example, menu items and input fields are not always detected by the screen reader with the correct role. In addition, there are some elements that behave like a button, but do not have the appropriate attribute and are therefore detected as plain text by the screen reader. As a result, TalkBack users, when performing some operations through the app, may find themselves disoriented.

Some interface elements are also unlabeled. Therefore, some specific interactions may be difficult for users using assistive technologies. For example, in the "Monthly Expenses" section, users using the screen reader may not be able to change the reference month because the element is unlabeled.

In the "Portfolio" panel, however, in the "Total Portfolio" section, we report that the navigation focus of the screen reader crashes.

On some pages/functions, the order of reading by screen reader may not match the logical order of navigation. This happens, for example, in the presence of infographics reporting the performance of a stock market index or stock.

With some exceptions, the application meets the minimum color/brightness contrast required by accessibility standards.

The alternative text that makes graphical elements accessible to assistive technologies, in some cases, is either not present or is in English. For example, in the "Account" panel, the element with the bell symbol does not have correct alternative text.

Finally, it is reported that some PDF documents on the application, for example in the "Send Money" section, are poorly readable for those using screen readers, because they have incorrect reading order and lack hierarchical structure (table of contents, headings, internal links) and text alternatives.
